He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Foster (Hannah); his parents, Wilfred Foster and Viola Foster (Newell); and his brothers, Gordon, Gerald and Wilfred.

He is survived by: his son Ray Jr.; his daughter-in-law Tracey (Diane Payette); his grandson Tim Foster (Lauren Perkins); his great grandchild Hannah Rae Foster; and his siblings-in-law, Sheila Foster, Dorothy Webster (Wendell) and Percy Steacy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In memory of Ray, donations to The Royal Canadian Legion Brach 92 – Building Fund or The Children's Wish Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
