He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Horton and Wilhelmina Horton (Webster); his wife Margaret; and his friend Parnell. He is survived by: his children, Sheree Lake (Mark), Sam (Laura), Robert (Nancy) and Daniel Horton (Deirdre); his grandchildren, Kimberley (Bryan Mombourquette), Kristen (late Gerhard Gross), Greg (Becky Johnson), Danielle (Peter Fletcher), Garret, Eric, Benjamin, Carter, Spencer Horton and Giant Grandpa; and his great grandchildren, Ella, Clara, Gerhard and Wesley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorial donations to the Seeley's Bay Food Bank (formerly known as ROLL Aid Centre/Food Bank) would be greatly appreciated.
