He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Lappan and Margaret Lappan (Flood); and his siblings, Bernard Lappan, Katherine Kelly and Mary Battams.

He is survived by: his wife Irene Lappan (Horton); his sons, Patrick Lappan (Casey) and Christopher Lappan; and his grandchildren, Lennox and Stella. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
