He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Gary (Kathy), Donald (Noel), Desi (Erica), Dana (Robin), Cora (John), Pam (Dan), Caroline, Kim (Russ), Katy (Raner) and Kelly (Mike); his wife Margaret; his son Daniel (Karen); and his son-in-law Russ. He was also cherished by his 24 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

In memory of Don, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
