It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard John Leonard Shanks (Lanark, Ontario), who passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Shanks; his daughter Corrine Shanks; his grandson Devin Rowsome; his great grandchildren, Damien and Maya; his sister Betty Shanks; and his niece Penny.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Robbie, Wesley Spoelder, Mary Davis, Ann-Marie Allan, Vicki Bryan, Shawn Shanks, Jamie Derrett, Augusta Rowsome and Makayla Parks; and his significant other Joan Nicholson. He is also survived by his 16 great-grandchildren.
