He was predeceased by: his brother Doug Schonauer. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Schonauer (Nagle); his children, Mary Ann Chenard, Michael (Julie), Robert Schonauer (Debbie) and Bobbi Truelove; his grandchildren, Sarah, Brandon, Emily Schonauer, MacKenzie Weir, Lorelei and Ashlyn Truelove; his siblings, Marg Morrow (Deb), Delmar Schonauer (Linda), Delores Gemmill, Bob Schonauer (Noreen) and Karen Diotte (Maurice); and his sister-in-law Joanne "Bunnie" Schonauer.
In remembrance of James, memorial donations to the Cancer Clinic of the Ottawa General Hospital would be appreciated.
