She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hennigar and Ethel Hennigar (Dill); her husband Robert McVeety; and her siblings, Frank, Hughie (late Marilyn) and Maurice Hennigar.

She is survived by: her children, Janice McVeety (Brian Duffy) and Kevin McVeety (Chantal Levesque); her grandchildren, Lauren Duffy, Kristen Duffy (Jason), Dominic and Mathieu McVeety; her brothers, Malcolm Hennigar (late Lois) and Eric Hennigar (late Mary); and her sisters-in-law, Margaret and Sonia Hennigar. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In remembrance of Elaine, those wishing are asked to consider memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the Lanark Lodge Resident's Fund.
