He was predeceased by: his father Warren Hyland. He is survived by: his wife Judith; his children, Joseph of Almonte, Nathan of Lakefield, Daniel of Lakefield and Emma of Lakefield; his mother Elizabeth "Betty" Hyland of Ottawa; and his sisters, Gwendy Smith (Tom) and Donna Geldhill of Ottawa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
