He was predeceased by: his parents, Edlorn and Ruth. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his stepsons, Jason Gilbert-Knott (Robert) of Curve Lake, Ian Gilbert of Peterborough and Matthew Gilbert (Andrea) of Belleville; and his stepgrandchildren, Melissa, Liam, Callum, Philip and Noah.
