It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet Mackie of Kitchener, Ontario, who passed away on September 27, 2022, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband John Houston Mackie; her parents, Hugh McNamee and Rachel McNamee; her siblings, Gerald, Stanley and Kathleen; and her brother-in-law David.

She is survived by: her children, Brian Mackie (Christine) and Julie Mackie (Gary Hallman); her grandchildren, Ainsley Moser (Ben), Kaitlyn Reinhart (Clement Breton), Presley and Jett Moser; and her siblings, Anne (Bob), Philip (Theresa), Rae (Eric), Lily, Beryl (Joe) and Hugh (Nora).
