She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Frank Mens and Delphine Meeus; her daughter-in-law Cindy Nessner; and her siblings, Anna DeJonckheere, Bertha Moyaert and Louis Mens.

She is survived by: her husband Andreas Nessner; her children, James Nessner, Robert "Bob", Jean Nessner, Elaine and John Al; her grandchildren, Jackie Nessner, Andrew Nessner (Kendal), Theresa Mclachlan (Andrew), Johanna Al, Robert "Burt" Nessner (Caroline), Josephine Czech (Aaron) and Simone Al; her great grandchildren, Austin, Nicholas, Tyson, Jacob Nessner, Isla, Emmett, Lincoln, Rayland Nessner, Norah, Lilah, Ethan, Amelia Mchlachlan, Cecilia, Winston Nessner, Sully, Frankie and Leo Czech; and her niece Joan Parkinson (Barry).

She will be missed by her niece Joan (Barry) Parkinson.
