He was predeceased by: his siblings-in-law, Anna Copland, Mary McBride, Michael Albert and Gerry Dietrich. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Shields; his children, Shelley Johnson (Kevin) and Julie Kaster (David); his grandchildren, Brittany (Elliott), Ryan (Amy), Logan, Marley and Kenzie; his great grandchildren, Alexis, Jocelyn and Chase; and his sisters, Fern Dietrich and Ellen Garbacz (Len).
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
