He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sue; his daughters, Shelley Kagel (Lance) and Kimberly Fielding (late Andy); his grandchildren, Olivia Kagel (Colin Rumig), Hayley Kagel (Alan Hermer), Christian Kagel, Eric Fielding and Colin Fielding; his great grandchild James Rumig; and his siblings, Alan Henderson (Lorette) and Jane Glunz (Howard).
