He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Carmount and Aileen Carmount (Burch); and his sister Norma McDougall. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Carmount; his children, Kelly Ruxton (Steven), Jason Carmount (Claire), Robin Carmount (Billie Jo Mueller) and Dana Carmount (Trina); his grandchildren, Rebecca Moss (Jeremy), Sarah Ruxton, Emily Ruxton, Eric Ruxton (Karleigh), Chase Carmount, Erica Carmount, Andrew Carmount, Mary Rachael Carmount, William Carmount, Audrey Carmount and Caroline Carmount; and his brothers, Ken Carmount (Joan) and Gary Carmount.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
