He was predeceased by: his wife Cheryl; his parents, Harold and Marie; his sisters, Marlene Stemmler (Ken) and Corrine Schnurr; his parents-in-law, Howard and Edith Duench; and his brother-in-law Bill Duench.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Schnurr and Pam Langer (Ron); his grandchildren, Gavin Langer and Ashley Wright (Steve); his great grandchildren, Cameron and Claire; his siblings, Theresa Hummel (late Irvine), Patricia Hummel (Tom), Ed (Marg) and Dave Schnurr (late Joyce); and his friend Donna Bos.
As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Grand River Hospital Foundation - Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
