She was predeceased by: her husband Jacob "Jake" Smola; and her siblings, Pete, Doris, Anita, Ethel, Joan and James.

She is survived by: her children, David, Jake Jr. (Angie), Patrick (Lori) and Jackie; her grandchildren, Ben, Sasha, Natalie, Adam and Andrea; and her sisters, Peggy Bossenberry (Bob) and Toni Brideau (Guy). She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
