He is survived by: his spouse Won Mi Shin; his children, Soo Yun Shin (Omar Ismail) and Joong Hyup Shin (Katie So); and his grandchildren, Amaya Ismail, Anise Ismail, Sennah Ismail and Ender Shin. He is also survived by his brothers and many nieces and nephews.
