He was predeceased by: his father James Alan McAlpine. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Lynn McAlpine; his mother Jean Fay McAlpine; his siblings, Jana and Scott (Louise); and his nephews, Matthew, Cameron and Jeff. He is also survived by many extended family and friends.
