She was predeceased by: her significant other Ralph; and her parents, Douglas Ertel and Lou Jean Ertel. She is survived by: her children, Annika Schmidt (Daniel Szekely), Eric and Kevin; her grandchildren, Elliot and Theo Szekely; her siblings, Liz Longstaff (David) and Dean Ertel (Carolyn); her parents-in-law, Walter and Uta Schmidt; and her sisters-in-law, Sylvia and Petra. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews.
