He was predeceased by: his parents, Chelito Castillo and Blas Castillo; and his siblings, Toti and Chelito. He is survived by: his wife Teresa; his son Juan Francisco Castillo Romero (Monika); and his siblings, Pili, Lupita, Betty, Cesáreo and Blas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM at the same location.
