He was loved and cherished by many people including: his close friend Perri-anne; his stepdaughter Jillian Zarzycki (Mathew); his grandchildren, Jessie, Ava, Evin, Austin, Fletcher, Pearl, Olive, Hazel, Emma, Lincoln, Nora and Nash; his stepgrandchildren, Theo and Amelia; his parents, Elizabeth Vickery and Lloyd; and his siblings, Leslie-Anne Blaikie (Rick) and Sharon Vickery.

John had a deep appreciation for the work of the Rotary Club in the community and has requested donations to Kitchener-Westmount Rotary Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
