He is survived by: his wife Julie Szpara Podrebarac; his parents, Suzy Podrebarac and Alex Podrebarac; his brother Logan (Raquel); his parents-in-law, Kathy and Mark Szpara; his brothers-in-law, Ted (Jaclyn) and John; his grandparents, Alex, Ana Podrebarac, Gail and George Menzies; his aunt Susie Jezerinac (Dan); his uncle Greg Menzies (Sarah); and his cousins, Matthew, Thomas, Evan and Skye.

Memorial donations may be made to the Grand River Hospital Foundation- Cancer Centre as expressions of sympathy.
