He was predeceased by: his parents, Moe Shantz and Peggy Shantz (Houston). He is survived by: his wife Heather; his siblings-in-law, Fran Turpie, Carol and Mike Marston; his nephew Evan; his sister Cathy McConnell (Shantz); his nephew Michael Sonnenberg; and his niece Leah Sonnenberg (Jack Russell).
