He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin C. Jane and Eliza Jane (Lillian); and his siblings, Delbert Atkinson (Sharon), Roy Atkinson (Nell) and Joyce Walker (Allan).
He is survived by: his children, Howard J. Atkinson (Deb Kimsa) of Toronto and Heather Cressman (Jay) of Waterloo; his grandchildren, Sydney, Garrett, Olivia, Callum Atkinson, Joshua Kimsa (Kristine), Kailey Kimsa, Zachary Cressman (Kim), Connor Cressman (Ashley) and Krista Van Slingerland (Evan); and his sister Ruth Hisey-Rafati (Joe). He is also survived by extended family members, friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society as expressions of sympathy.
