He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Rastel and Irene Rastel; his son Don; his son-in-law Ron; his grandson Jason; and his siblings, Ada Hertel, Trudy Giller, Robert and Fred.
He is survived by: his spouse Roma Rastel; his daughters, Linda Shantz (Jonathan Verney) and Wendy Sutherland (Jay); his granddaughters, Kelly Legault (Jeff), Jennifer, Sarah (Paul Willert), Kathryn Sutherland (Cody Logel) and Shannon Rastel (Marlon Rosales); and his great grandchildren, Tyson, Liam, Marquez and Briah. He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
