He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Hynes and Grace Hynes; his brother Ned; his mother-in-law Dianne; and his nephew Tyler.

He is survived by: his children, Katelyn (Matthew), Krista (John) and Shaun (Hope); his father-in-law Angus Morgan; and his siblings, Mike (Ann), Alf, Aiden, Ann and Trish (Reggie). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
