He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law Pavel Jonasku; his parents, Nicola Belu and Persa Zivcu; his siblings, Lenuta (Sima) and Roman (Firuta); his uncle Ticuta Belu (Draga); his parents-in-law, Traila and Cornelia Spariosu; his brothers-in-law, George Nikolica and Joe Badju Sr.; and his godparents, John and Stela Scopu.

He is survived by: his spouse Dragalina Belu (Spariosu); his nieces, Aneta (Nelu) and Margareta (Dragan); his cousins, Jonel Belu, Citu Belu (Denny) and Nicolae (Laie); his children, Doina Skumpija (Petru) and Dean Zivcu; his cousin Draguta Barbu (Petru); his sister-in-law Maria Milicevic (Aleksandar); his sister-in-law Constanta Nikolica; his nieces, Veronica and Maria; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Petar and Olivia; his sister-in-law Letita Badju; his nephew Nick (Carmen); his great-nieces, Katrina and Sophie; his nephew Joe Badju Jr.; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Mia, Sienna and Alina; his nephew Alex Badju; his great-nephews, Noah and Max; his nieces and nephews, Pavel and Marina; his family, Florika Scopu, Dr. Bhatty, Dr. Habib, Dr. Madani, Dr. Burkett and Dr. Ler of Mary's General Hospital; and also, Dejan (Ljiljana, family: Ema, Mina), Sanela (Milos) of Hamilton and Denny of Hamilton. He is also survived by his many extended family and friends.
