He was predeceased by: his parents, Garwin and June (Nee Lunn); and his grandchildren, Ethan and Felisha Purvis. He is survived by: his wife Karen Horst; his children, Chrystina Purvis, Freeman Purvis (Holly) and Brett Purvis (Gracie) of Nova Scotia; his grandchildren, Alyssa Purvis (Dane), Donovan, Odin and Truett Purvis; his great grandchild Phoenix; his siblings, Stan Purvis (Di), Grace Fogarty and Barb Pick; and his brother-in-law Ron Pick.
