He is survived by: his wife Anne Louise Hawton; his children, SueAnne VanGalen (Patrick) and Glendon Hawton (Angela); his grandchildren, Julia, Maya, Calvin, Arthur and Rachel; and his siblings, Eldon, Ruth and Keith. He is also survived by relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
