He was predeceased by: his mother Erna Holler; his brothers, Claus and Peter Herkert; and his sister-in-law Marjorie Thompson (Wayne). He is survived by: his wife Eleanor Herkert; his children, Ian Herkert and Jennifer Herkert; his sibling Guenter Holler of Seattle, WA; and his siblings-in-law, Morgan Strassburger (Grace), Audrey Arnold, Barb Main (Dave), Ruby Kurt (Larry Smuck), Clifford Strassburger (Kathy), Robert Strassburger (Jan), Deborah Sperling (Tom), Nancy Strassburger (late Albert), Anne Strassburger (late Dennis) and Laraine Burley (late Karon). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Grand River Hospital Foundation - Cancer Centre or the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
