He was predeceased by: his parents, James and Mary; and his siblings, Walter and Alice. He is survived by: his wife Zita Hanlon; and his children, Jim (Cathy), Tony (Elizabeth), Debbie (Pat), Dan (Dawn) and Damon (Crystal). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
