He is survived by: his wife Ilse; his daughter Christine Hoffman (Jason Thompson); his grandchildren, Jeremy, Ryan and Bonnie; his daughter Carolyn Doering (Jason); his grandsons, Benjamin and Joshua; his siblings, Bill (late Shirely), Larry (Judy), Barb Black (Barry) and Bob; and his sisters-in-law, Ursula Totzke and Monica Jutzi (late Jeff). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Luke's Lutheran Church (General Fund) or the Waterloo Region Hospice.
