Barbara Howe Obituary

She was predeceased by: her husband David; her parents, Walter and Audrey; and her sister Donna. She is survived by: her children, James and Susan (Howe); her granddaughters, Justine and Evelyn Howe; her sister Betty Jane (Henry Roth); her sister-in-law Betty Howe; her nephews, Scott, Craig Howe, Stephen, Jeff, Eric and Tim Roth; and her niece Christine Gibbons. She is also survived by many great nephews and nieces and many, many good friends.

In retirement, she remained as active for as long as possible such as singing with the St. Adeline's, the Noteworthy Singers, and as a member of Probus until the pandemic and Parkinson's limited.

She went on to become one of the earliest lay Catholic elementary principals at several schools including many years at St. Anne's. In 1997, she received the J.F. Clifford award from the Waterloo County Separate School Board for her many contributions to Catholic education.
