He was predeceased by: his son Stephen Smith; and his parents, Phillip Smith and Dorothy Smith. He is survived by: his spouse Jean Renee; his children, Michael Smith (Christine Dubue), Jeannine Edwards (Austin) and Sean Smith (Lisa Hillion); his daughter-in-law Mandy Smith; his grandchildren, Deanna, Mackenzie, Vergil (Aranea), Shayna, Alice, Sophie and Zachary; and his sister Dorothy Ann Grantham (late Donald).
