He was predeceased by: his wife Muriel Morell; his parents, Adam and Katharina; and his brothers, Philipp, Friedrich "Fritz" and Friedhelm "Fred".
He is survived by: his children, Herbert Morell (Lynda), Richard "Rick" Morell (Arlene), Jeannie Fitter (Terry) and Brian Leis (Linda); his grandchildren, Amy Morell-Williams (Ryan Williams), Adam Morell (Lindsay), Trevor Morell (Kimberley), Taylor Morell (Darryl Campbell), Sherri Magoci (Ivan), Lesli Kennedy (Scott), Shawn Leis (Jeannie), Craig Leis and Shannon Leis; his great grandchildren, Everleigh, Everhett, Ashtyn, Anthony, Alisha, Jonah, Abbey, Christian, Lillian, Lauren and Landon; his sisters, Katharine Paulini (John) and Elizabeth "Betty" Gallaher; and his sisters-in-law, Edith, Elisabeth and Mary. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
