He was predeceased by: his wife Ida Mathieu (Turgeon); his parents, Paul Mathieu and Léa Mathieu (Descoteaux); and his brother Gaston Mathieu. He is survived by: his children, Roger Mathieu (Esther Fraser) of Charlton, Suzanne Perron (Don) of Dowling and Lorraine Bunclark (Bob) of Stoney Creek; his grandchildren, Caroline Hamelin (Andre), Tina Mathieu, Lissa Clowater (Kent), David Perron (Ally) and Andrew Mathieu (Tara); his great grandchildren, Patrick Simpson, Danielle Hamelin, Mathieu Shortt, Jessica Shortt, Dylan Clowater, Nathan Clowater, Leah Perron, Erica Perron and Amelia Mathieu; and his brother Rene Mathieu (Marlene) of New Liskeard. He is also survived by great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
