He was predeceased by: his wife Margaretha; his children, Kimberley Anne and Paul Henri; and his son-in-law Jerry Brodie. He is survived by: his children, Peter, Brenda, Brian and Amy; his daughter-in-law Deanna; and his siblings, Maaike Smith, Henry, Peter, Anneke Hart and Hans. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
