He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Donna of Porcupine; his children, Leonard Jr. (Irene) of Amherstburg, Dana Vaillancourt (Clem) of Porcupine and David (Julie) of Timmins; his grandchildren, Jamie, Christopher Pigeon, Mariah Pigeon (Brent Clarke), Austin and Hailey Vaillancourt; and his sisters, Theresa Bertolo (late Dino) of Timmins, Marjorie Natolino (Romeo) of Timmins and Donna Mae Sheculski (Ted) of Timmins. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
