She was predeceased by: her husband Wayne; her parents, Beatrice and Pearce (Frank); and her sisters, Patricia Sheaves and Laurette Lariviere.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Shauna, Kristina McGill (Ryan), Stephany Janssen, Kylie Harding and Wayne Wilberforce; her great grandchildren, Carter, Evynn and Aby; her brother-in-law Alex Sheaves; her stepsister Sheila Ferguson; and also, Debbie McGill, Vicky Wilberforce, Connie Wilberforce and Cathie Janssen (Mark Turpin).

In lieu of flowers donations in Lena's name can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
