He was predeceased by: his parents, Reginald Filion and Aline Filion; and his siblings, Marie and Jocelyn Filion. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his sister Danielle Filion (Kane Connors); his nephew Steve Brazeau Eric Chevrier (Lesley); his father-in-law Basil McMillan; his brother-in-law Doug MacMillan; and his nieces, Dora MacMillan (Sean) and Dana MacMillan.
