He was predeceased by: his parents, Hank Scott and Barbara Scott of Wawa, ON; his brother Bill; and his siblings-in-law, Jeanne, David, George and Richard Renault.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Scott (Renault); his sons, Michael (Bobbi) of Hay River, NWT and Jeremy of Kirkland Lake, ON; his grandchildren, Carson and Lotus; his siblings-in-law, Eva Scott, Shannon Renault and Stephen Renault; and his nephews, Mark Phillips (Mairi), Ian Scott (Deanna), Peter Scott and Andrew Scott (Julie).
