She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Carter and Irene Carter Rochon; her brothers, Ronald Carter and Jimmy Carter; and her daughter Linda Knies.
She is survived by: her siblings, Albert Carter (Eva), Raymond Carter (Rachel), Dorothy Lalonde (Rene), Margery Commanda, Teresa Scully and Béatrice Duguay (Adrien); her former husband Erich Knies; and her children, Susan Favretto (Rich) and Erich Knies (Mary). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
