He was predeceased by: his parents, Elieth Romain and Leonne Romain; his siblings, Leo Romain (Chummy) and Leona McKay; his nephew Ricky Joseph; and his niece Judy Cormier.

He is survived by: his children, Sherrilynn Romain, Michael Romain (Nicole), Naomi Bisson (Sylvain) and Jason Bisson; his grandchildren, Jonathan Welch, Ryan Millen, Bryanna Romain, Emily Romain, Shelby-Lyn Romain, Shaynna Landry (Dan), Zander Rondeau and Liam Methe; his siblings, Don Romain (Lillian), Eddie Romain (Terry), Alice Plowe (Dal) and Eric Romain (Judy); his brother-in-law Glen McKay; and his nieces and nephews, Debbie, Thrina, Emile, Derrick, Darren, Denise, Nicole, Angelle, Michelle, Lorraine, Diane, Perry, Shelley, Candace, Mark, Valerie and Lorrie.

He helped many families around the community with donations of items from the store.
