With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Bruce Barkell (Kirkland Lake, Ontario), who passed away on April 15, 2018. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry and Mayme; his brother Ross; his son-in-law John McGonigal; and his siblings-in-law, Claire Mitchell, Malcolm Doyle and Lucy Beland.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn (Coghlan); his daughters, Tracey Barkell, Amanda Condie (Trevor) and Paula Henderson (Neal); his siblings, Brian (Harmonie), Doreen, Marilyn and Patricia (Frank Laframboise); and his sister-in-law Shirley Barkell.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kirkland & District Hospital Foundation (145 Government Road East, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N 3P4) would be appreciated.
