He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Cottrill and Verna Cottrill; his brother Terry Cottrill; and his brothers-in-law, Don Godfrey and Alvin McLaren.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria; his children, Shawn Cottrill (Marnie), Edward Cottrill, Angie Cottrill, Taylor Cottrill, Philipe Ducharme (Meghan), Ian Ducharme (Dayna Nickle) and Cameron Hansen (Ava Rose); his grandchildren, Christian, Amanda, Alexa, Jade, Connor, Cove, Karson and Jane; his sisters, Diane Godfrey and Ellen Hopkins (Mike); and his in-laws, Lloyd McLaren (late Rose), Cheryl Tremblay (late Denis) and Ralph McLaren (Mona). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 12th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the French Family Chapel (111 Burnside Dr, Kirkland Lake, ON P2N3L1).
