He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Schmidt and Susie Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Schmidt; his children, Tiffany Laramie (Jason), Melissa Schmidt, Josh Schmidt (Elen) and Carrie Schmidt (James Lawrence); his grandchildren, Thea, Sophie, Vincent, Destinee, Matilda, Madelaine, Ella, Noah, Bailey and Avery; his siblings, Larry Schmidt (Sue), Barb Van Grinsven (late Frank) and Jim Schmidt (Jackie); his mother-in-law Vera (Ted Dickhout); and his brothers, Bill (Cheryl), Joe (Daphne), Ben, Andrew and Tom Dickhout (Mandy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
