With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Margaret Thorpe of Kingsville, Ontario, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Balkwill and Anna Balkwill; her spouse Melbourne "Mel"; her siblings, William Balkwill, Helen Balkwill, Emma Holland and Jack Balkwill; and her children, Carol (Tunk), Sandra D'Alimonte (Flavio), Bill (Colleen), Bob (Elaine) and Merri Wye (David).
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Laura D'Alimonte (Mike Trieu), Gabriel D'Alimonte, Cameron Thorpe, Kate Palmer (Sheldon), Carrie Thorpe, Lisa Thorpe, Megan Wye and Shelby Gault (Adam); and her great grandchildren, Melissa Thorpe, Marleigh Thorpe and Fynn Trieu.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Kendrick Funeral Home - Kingsville (91 Division St S, Kingsville, ON N9Y1P5).
Donations in memory of Margaret may be made to the Windsor-Essex County Humane Society (1375 Provincial Rd, Windsor, ON N8W 5W6).
