He was predeceased by: his daughter Jayne. He is survived by: his wife Carol Coyle (Douglas); his stepchildren, Michael, Julie Douglas, Lori, Bruce Moir, Martin and Minda Douglas; his grandchildren, Caitlyn, Gillian (Lauren Douglas), Bryce (Daniel Moir) and Corey Douglas; and his siblings, Victoria Eve and Timothy Coyle.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of Windsor and Essex County Residential Homes through the funeral home.
