He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Nelson and Sarah Nelson; and his siblings, Harvey Nelson and Mary Hillman. He is survived by: his wife Wanda (Carder); his children, Brenda Roelens (Maurice), Greg Nelson (Kate) and Barb Veigli (John); and his grandchildren, Melanie Voakes (Christopher), Sarah Keirouz (Anthony), Eric Rollo, Michael Roelens (Ali), Cole Nelson (Tyler Hensz), Jessika Lane (Nicholas), Nikolas Veigli (Danielle), Jailynn Nelson (Dylan), Oliver, Isabella, Jamie, Olivia, Maggie, Gracie, Sophie, Annabel and Evelynn.
