He was predeceased by: his sister Doreen Best. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley; his children, David Ovens (Debbie), Lorna Thorne (Tom) and John Ovens (Judy); his grandchildren, Devon Thorne (Meaghen), Lisa Ovens, Sarah Stoute (Mark), Andrew Thorne (Shannon) and Alex Thorne; and his brother Jim Ovens (Joyce).
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to Shriners Children Hospital in Mr. Ovens' memory.
